Columbus Community Hospital Wellness Center Announces 2025 Cooking Class Series

The Columbus Community Hospital Wellness Center is excited to announce its lineup of 2025 cooking classes. These hands-on classes are designed to empower participants with valuable culinary skills and inspire healthy eating habits.

Class schedule:

  • Jan. 14: Warming soups and breads

  • Feb. 11: Date night — French-style

  • March 11: Five ingredients or less

  • April 8: Mardi Gras — Southern cooking

  • May 13: Plant-based cooking

  • June 10: Freezer meals

  • July 8: Summer fresh eats — Salads

  • Aug. 12: What to do with squash?

  • Sept. 9: World of grains

  • Oct. 14: Taste of Asia

  • Nov. 11: Everyday Mediterranean

  • Dec. 9: Holiday party — Appetizers and hors d'oeuvres

Classes take place from 5:30-7 p.m. in the multipurpose room at the Columbus Wellness Center. They are led by experienced Columbus Community Hospital dietitians Joan Plummer, RD, LMNT, CDCES, and Susan Olmer, RD, LMNT. Each class is limited to 10 participants and costs $15 per person.
