Columbus Community Hospital Welcomes New Psychiatrist

Columbus Community Hospital welcomes Dr. Erin Kindred as a new psychiatrist on its medical staff. She joins the team at Columbus Psychiatry Clinic.

Kindred received her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Peru State College in Peru, Nebraska. She also received her Bachelor of Science in psychobiology from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in Kearney, Nebraska, before receiving her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) in Omaha, Nebraska. She completed her psychiatry residency from Creighton University Medical Center (CUMC), also in Omaha, before completing her fellowship in behavioral neurology neuropsychiatry at UNMC.

Dr. Venkata Kolli, psychiatrist at Columbus Psychiatry Clinic, said he is excited to have Dr. Kindred joining the practice.

“Dr. Kindred will be an excellent addition to Columbus Psychiatry Clinic,” Kolli said. “She is a bright, hard-working and astute physician. She also has an excellent bedside manner.”

Kindred is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is also certified in basic life support and advanced cardiac life support.

She’s a member of the American Psychiatric Association, American Medical Association, American Society of Addiction Medicine and the American Neuropsychiatric Association.

Kolli also said Dr. Kindred will assist Columbus Psychiatry Clinic in treating dementia and several other adult psychiatric conditions.
