Columbus Community Hospital Volunteer & Guest Services Team Celebrates A Successful Year

Columbus Community Hospital understands a patient’s experience at the hospital is based on more than the medical care they receive. Patients’ experiences are shaped by all their interactions in the hospital — from the moment they walk through the door to the moment they leave.

The hospital’s volunteer & guest services department provides many of these services — from valet parking to The Gift Shop. The volunteer & guest services 2021-22 annual report highlights how the department provides support to hospital patients, visitors and staff.

The report includes:

·         An in-depth look at the adult volunteer and VolunTEEN program and application process.

·         Volunteer satisfaction survey results.

·         An overview of volunteering benefits.

·         A feature on the 2022 Outstanding Volunteer of the Year.

·         Statistics on the hospital’s fundraisers and blood drives that the department hosts.

·         A summary of the department’s pet therapy and “Welcome HOME” (Healthcare Opportunities are Made for Everyone) program.

·         Information on the hospital’s vending services, valet parking and patient transportation service, and The Gift Shop.

The annual report focuses on the fiscal year 2021-22, between May 1, 2021, and April 30, 2022.
