Columbus Community Hospital Promotes Healthy Dining Options

The Platte County Lifestyle Coalition began a program called Healthy Dining Options in January 2022. It asked restaurants in the area to provide a plant-based menu item or healthier side option such as steamed vegetables and fruit, or offer different methods of preparing foods, such as roasting, baking, steaming or air frying.

As a result, several restaurants in the area joined the initiative, providing what they could offer to their customers. This led to the development of the Healthy Dining Option flyer, which consists of 10 restaurants:

  • Big 10 Sports Bar & Grill

  • Burrito King – Free drink with purchase of veggie fajita

  • CK Grill & Bar - $1 off order

  • Husker House

  • El Tapatio – Buy one healthy option, get one half off

  • HomeGrown Nutrition - $1 off shake or mega energy tea

  • Tokyo Japanese Cuisine
