Columbus Community Hospital Nurses Recognized For Professional Development Achievements
Columbus Community Hospital recently completed the fourth year of its Professional Development Program. Five nurses completed the program — Micala Dempcy, Heather Elton, Jessica Henggeler, Gina Olson and Kimberly Wiese.
"I want to congratulate these medical professionals for completing the 2022 Professional Development Program," said Mike Hansen, president and CEO at Columbus Community Hospital. "It was a yearlong commitment, and we are very proud of their hard work and dedication to the program."
The Professional Development Program recognizes nursing staff members who have chosen to go above and beyond their regular duties to influence their profession and the hospital while continuing to provide direct patient care at the bedside.
The program's goal is to encourage and support nurses as they engage in educational opportunities that provide them with a greater sense of community. These opportunities allow them to enhance the quality of their nursing care, clinical expertise and leadership skills.
"I am very proud of the nurses who undertook the huge challenge of the Professional Development Program," said Dorothy Bybee, vice president of nursing and patient care services. "This is not easy, but everyone benefits — both the nurse and the organization."
These individuals completed different levels of the program, as follows:
Heather Elton, Level IV.
Micala Dempcy, Level III.
Jessica Henggeler, Level III.
Gina Olson, Level III.
Kimberly Wiese, Level III.
