Certified Medical Coder

**NOT REMOTE**

The Certified Medical Coder will be responsible to review medical documentation from physicians; assists in assigning diagnostic and procedure codes for symptoms, diseases, injuries, procedures, labs and treatments according to official classification systems and standards. Providing accurate and timely ICD-10 coding of diagnoses and assist physicians with CPT procedure coding. Our clinic utilizes eClinical Works for our electronic medical record. Reviewing medical record documentation to accurately reflect healthcare coding and substantiate appropriate service reimbursement. Educating physicians and clinical staff on coding guidelines to improve the accuracy of medical record documentation. Working with other departments and organizations to assure availability and quality of information.

Pay:

Starting at $22/hr

Skills/Qualifications:

Must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail is a critical. Must be able to work on multiple projects, with interruptions and able to prioritize. Excellent computer skills and a self-starter with inititiave and follow through. Must be a Certified Professional Coder (CPC), a minimum of 5 years of experience preferred.
