CCMH Color Run Draws 200+ to Promote Community Wellness
Crawford County Memorial Hospital (CCMH) welcomed just over 200 community members to its first CCMH Color Run on Thursday, July 23, at the Crawford County Fairgrounds. This event reinforced the hospital's commitment to promoting health, wellness, and community engagement beyond its walls.
Held during the Crawford County Fair, the event invited participants of all ages and fitness levels to walk, jog, or run either a one-mile course or a 5K while making physical activity a fun experience. Throughout the course, volunteers and event sponsors created an encouraging experience by cheering on participants while tossing colorful powder.
The CCMH Color Run is more than a fun community event; it reflects Crawford County Memorial Hospital's commitment to improving the health and well-being of the Crawford County community. The hospital's most recent Community Health Needs Assessment identified preventative and holistic health as top priorities, highlighting the need for increased opportunities for physical activity, wellness education, and chronic disease prevention. Events like the Color Run encourage people of all ages to get moving, connect with others, and make healthy choices in a fun, welcoming environment.
By promoting movement, community engagement, and overall well-being, CCMH continues to support its mission of helping individuals and families build healthier lives across Crawford County.
CCMH extends its sincere appreciation to the Crawford County Fair for welcoming the Color Run to the fairgrounds during fair week.
