Columbus Community Hospital to Host 2025 Harvest for Health Community Event

Community members of all ages can learn more about health care products, services and new offerings in the community at Columbus Community Hospital’s Harvest for Health event.

The event, which takes place from 7 a.m.-noon on Thursday, Sept. 4, will feature more than 40 area businesses and three speakers.

Dr. Anthony White, an orthopedic surgeon with Columbus Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Clinic, will share information about the importance of bone health and osteoporosis prevention. Following his presentation, Dr. Mark Howerter, chief medical officer at the hospital, will discuss stroke symptoms and how acting F.A.S.T. can make a difference. Finally, Dr. Christopher Veale, a radiation oncologist with Columbus Cancer Care, will discuss how to better understand radiation therapy.

Columbus Community Hospital will also offer various health screenings and services for free. Attendees can take advantage of free blood pressure, vision, bone mineral density and fasting wellness profile blood draws. Flu shots, Prevnar 20 vaccinations and in-depth health screenings are available at a discounted rate.
