Be A Health Care Hero And Donate Blood This Year
Are you looking for a way to give back? Roll up your sleeves and help people in need at one of Columbus Community Hospital’s blood drives. By donating blood, you could save up to three lives.
Blood is a perishable product that can only come from generous blood donors, which is why the hospital hosts monthly blood drives. Appointments for whole blood and power red donations take place between 8 a.m.-2 p.m. in the hospital's Platte and Prairie conference rooms. You will need a valid driver's license or blood donation card at check-in.
"Donating blood is a unique way to give back to others, because blood donations benefit a wide range of individuals," said Chelsea Lovell, the volunteer coordinator at the hospital. "You're kind of like a 'secret' superhero. You don't know who your donation goes to, but you know you can save someone's life."
