BASH 2025 “Off to the Races: Cutting-Edge Cancer Detection & Therapy” Raises Funds for Cancer-Fighting Technology

Prairie Lakes Healthcare Foundation is proud to  announce that BASH (Building A Superior Healthcare System) 2025, held on Saturday, May 3rd,  at the Watertown Event Center, was a tremendous success.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors, the Foundation raised more than  $113,000.00. Proceeds from the event will help fund two state-of-the-art advancements, in  cancer care, at Prairie Lakes Healthcare System:

 Ion Robotic-Assisted Technology – A minimally invasive system that allows our  Pulmonologist to reach deep within the lungs for precise biopsies, detecting lung cancer  earlier when it is most treatable

 Linear Accelerator (LINAC) – A cutting-edge radiation therapy device that delivers  high-energy X-rays or electron beams with pinpoint accuracy. This technology improves  imaging, enhances targeting, and provides faster treatments while protecting  surrounding tissue.

BASH is an annual fundraising gala hosted by the Prairie Lakes Healthcare Foundation, made  possible by the dedication of volunteers and support of generous donors. BASH 2025 was  especially meaningful, as it marked the 30th Anniversary of this cherished community event.

With more than 350 reservations, the evening started with a social hour and silent auction,  accompanied by live music from My Monday Regret. Guests enjoyed a live stream of the  Kentucky Derby, a gourmet dinner, special program, and an exciting live auction. The night  concluded with a dynamic acoustic performance by My Monday Regret.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended, donated, and made this event such a  memorable success.
