Avera St. Anthony's Hospital Sustains Damage Following Explosion Next to Campus
At approximately 5:55 a.m. this morning, Avera St. Anthony’s Hospital in O’Neill, Neb., was damaged by an explosion that occurred near our campus.
There were no major injuries to patients or employees, but the hospital had window and door damage on the east side of the building.
Avera St. Anthony’s Hospital is closed for today and patients are being diverted to area hospitals. Avera Medical Group O’Neill clinic is closed today also. Avera St. Anthony’s has set up a temporary care center at the O’Neill Community Center for non-emergent cases. Dialysis patients from O’Neill are being cared for at nearby facilities.
