Avera Addiction Care Center Earns Human Experience Award

For the second year in a row, Press Ganey honored the Avera Addiction Care Center with a Human Experience Guardian of Excellence Award®. This award is part of Press Ganey’s annual ranking of the top hospitals and health systems in the country, according to performance in patient experience.

“We could not be more proud of every staff member and physician that works at the Addiction Care Center,” said Thomas Otten, Vice President for Avera Behavioral Health Services. “This particular Press Ganey award has never before been won within the Avera enterprise, and now it’s happened two years in a row for the Avera Addiction Care Center,”

Winning this award means that the Avera Addiction Care Center ranked in the top 5% of health care providers in delivering patient experience in each of the last two years.
