ASCO Recognizes MCC Physician

Dr. M. Sitki Copur

Dr. M. Sitki Copur recently was named a Fellow of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).

Dr. Copur, Morrison Cancer Center Medical Director, was honored due to his extraordinary volunteer service, engagement and dedication to the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the Association of Clinical Oncology. The award is designed to honor ASCO’s most engaged members and volunteers to encourage others to become involved.

Dr. Copur, a longtime ASCO member, will be honored during the ASCO Annual Meeting Opening Session and will be invited to the President’s Reception. The Fellow status is a lifetime recognition.

David Jones, MCC Director, said Dr. Copur has been highly involved with ASCO, the world’s leading professional organization for physicians and oncology professionals.

“In addition to all he does for patients, Dr. Copur works tirelessly on research, support of community cancer care and membership in organizations like ASCO, that promote an end to cancer.”
