Align Powered By Sanford Health Plan Receives 4.5-Star Rating From CMS

Sanford Health Plan’s Medicare Advantage plan, Align powered by Sanford Health Plan, received a 4.5-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for the 2024 plan year for its plans available in North Dakota, South Dakota and Iowa, placing them among the highest-rated in the region as well as the nation.

Star ratings range from 1 star to 5 stars and are based on 38 quality and performance measures. CMS designed the system to help Medicare beneficiaries evaluate the Medicare Advantage plan options available to them. Nationwide, the average rating for Medicare Advantage plans with prescription drug coverage, like Align powered by Sanford Health Plan, is 4.04 stars; only 36 plans received a 5-star rating.

“The goal with our Medicare Advantage product is to offer a health insurance option with personalized, comprehensive and affordable coverage,” said John Snyder, president, Sanford Health Plan. “We’re thrilled to see our attention to member experience and care reflected in the CMS rating, and we will continue to prioritize member feedback as part of our ongoing focus on equipping members with the innovative services and extra benefits that help them manage chronic conditions and improve health.”
