The Essentia Health-West Acres Clinic is pleased to welcome Dr. Ahmad Kamal who will practice internal medicine.

"A close friend of mine worked at Essentia Health and hearing him talk about his experience really influenced me and was one of the main reasons I decided to come work at Essentia," explained Dr. Kamal. "After being here, I can understand why he enjoyed it so much."

Dr. Kamal received his medical degree from Rawalpindi Medical College in Pakistan, and he completed a residency in internal medicine at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Kamal is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

"I love internal medicine because it combines complex problem-solving, long-term patient relationships and the opportunity to treat the whole person," said Dr. Kamal. "It offers intellectual challenge, variety and many opportunities to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives."
