41st Annual Roger Maris Celebrity Golf Tournament, Sponsored by Happy Harry’s Bottle Shops, Returns During All-Star Week
The Roger Maris Celebrity Golf Tournament, presented by Happy Harry’s Bottle Shops, tees off for the 41st time on Thursday, June 19, at Rose Creek Golf Course. The event features both 9 and 18-hole golf tournaments.
New to Roger Maris All-Star Week this year is the Edith Sanford 9-Hole Golf Scramble presented by Happy Harry’s Bottle Shops. This pink-themed event will tee off at 8 a.m. at Rose Creek Golf Course and will help support innovative breast cancer research and patient care. The Edith Sanford 9-hole Scramble will feature specialty coffee, a photo station, contests and prizes, swag bags and appearances by celebrities. Both men and women are encouraged to wear pink. Cost is $600 per team or $175 per golfer.
The 18-hole Roger Maris Celebrity Golf Tournament is also at Rose Creek Golf Course. Registration is at 11 a.m. and tee time is at 12 p.m. Cost is $1,200 per team.

Kevin O’Connell is the head coach of the Minnesota Vikings. In 2024, he was named the Associated Press Coach of the Year after leading the Vikings to a 14-3 record and playoff appearance. In 2022, O’Connell was named the 10th head coach in Minnesota Vikings history and owns a 34-17 regular-season record. Prior to coaching, O’Connell, who was a four-year starting quarterback at San Diego State University, was drafted in the third round of the 2008 National Football League Draft by the New England Patriots.
Marney Gellner, a Minot, N.D. native, is a broadcaster on FanDuel Sports Network, covering the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Minnesota Lynx. Gellner is also a regular contributor on KFAN’s “The Power Trip Morning Show”. In 2o23, Gellner announced she had breast cancer, and less than a month after revealing her diagnosis, she announced she was cancer free.
Chad Greenway played his entire 11-year NFL career with the Minnesota Vikings. Greenway is a two-time Pro Bowler and led the National Football Conference (NFC) in combined tackles in 2010. Greenway is a two-time Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee, given annually honoring a player’s volunteer and charity work, as well as excellence on the field.
Phil Hansen played all 11 seasons of his NFL career with the Buffalo Bills, and he is third on the Bills all-time list with 61.5 career sacks. In 2011, he was inducted into the Buffalo Bills Wall of Fame. Hansen, an Oakes, N.D. native, starred collegiately at North Dakota State University, and in 2004, was inducted into the NCAA Division II Hall of Fame. Hansen helped lead the Bison to NCAA Division II National Championships in 1988 and 1990.
Roger Maris All-Star Week was created to support the work happening at the cancer center, honor loved ones, friends and neighbors affected by cancer, promote Roger’s passion for fitness and youth sports and celebrate the enduring legacy of hometown hero, Roger Maris.
