35th ND Family Based Services Conference April 9-12 In Fargo Features Training For Professionals Who Work To Support Strong, Stable Families

Child welfare and behavioral health professionals, educators and others who work with children and families to promote strong, stable families will benefit from attending the 2024 North Dakota Family Based Services Conference, April 9-12, at the Holiday Inn of Fargo.

Organized by the North Dakota Family Based Services Association and co-sponsored by the North Dakota Health and Human Services (HHS) Children and Family Services Section and several other partners, the conference offers training and networking opportunities.

“The North Dakota Family Based Services Association conference planning committee is proud to present and celebrate the 35th year of the annual conference,” said North Dakota Family Based Services Association President Kristi Ventzke. “This year’s theme, Learn, Grow, Heal embodies the hope that professionals attending the conference gain knowledge, improve their skills, and leave feeling more empowered, equipped, and competent to serve all the individuals these outstanding professionals encounter each day in their hard work.”

The four-day conference is designed to support the HHS strategic priority of advancing strong, stable, healthy families and communities.

Organizers encourage social workers, counselors, addiction counselors, therapists, educators, family advocates, youth leaders, foster parents, adoptive parents, juvenile justice professionals, parent aides, students and others to attend.

The conference is approved for wraparound recertification and continuing education credits.

Registration fees range from $225 for the entire North Dakota Family Based Services Association conference, $100 for one-day registration on Wednesday or Thursday and $75 for Friday’s session. There is also a $100 parent/student registration fee available that covers the conference. Attendees can register until the start of the conference.
