Sanford Health Plan President Discusses Value-Based Care, Population Health And Innovation At Healthapalooza

Sanford Health Plan President and CEO, John Snyder, joined a CEO panel discussion this week focused on value-based care initiatives, improving access to care, Medicare Advantage and the use of artificial intelligence at Healthapalooza in Prior Lake, Minnesota.

In his panel discussion, Snyder highlighted how Sanford Health Plan is using health guides to reduce barriers to care and improve outcomes as well as providing preventive care video visits and digital tools to help members access care and manage their health.

“As an integrated health plan, Sanford Health Plan can combine demographic, claims and clinical data in a more predictive way across an entire population for a better understanding of how patients progress through the care continuum. This allows us to better manage chronic conditions, improve health outcomes and identify opportunities to reduce costs,” John Synder, President and CEO, Sanford Health Plan, told attendees of the conference on Monday. “Our line of sight allows us to engage members where they are at in meaningful, innovative ways.”

Snyder shared the stage with other health plan CEOs, including Dana Erickson of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, Hilly Marden-Resnik of UCare, Craig Stillman of UnitedHealthcare and Andrea Walsh of HealthPartners.
