MercyOne Siouxland Child Advocacy Center Encourages you to Wear Blue for Child Abuse Prevention

MercyOne Siouxland Child Advocacy Center colleagues and their colleagues across the MercyOne Western Iowa region will be wearing blue Friday, April 1 to mark the beginning of Child Abuse Prevention Month.

We encourage you to show your support for the essential work needed in our community and across the country to ensure a better, safer future for all children.

Take a selfie and post on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram with #GoBlueDay.

MercyOne Siouxland Child Advocacy Center, a department of MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center, is a comprehensive, child-friendly program dedicated to serving child victims of abuse.

“Families never expect to be in the position of having to use the Child Advocacy Center,” said Amy Scarmon, MercyOne Siouxland Child Advocacy Center manager. “It is so important to us that every family has access to these specialized services regardless of their ability to pay.”

Since opening in 1989, the center has served more than 20,000 children, with 700 abused children and their families walking through the doors of our center within the last year.
