Hospital Welcomes Newest Psychiatry Resident

Andi Ngo

Columbus Community Hospital welcomes Dr. Andi Ngo as the newest resident at Columbus Psychiatry Clinic.

Ngo attended Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, where he received his education in pharmacology before attending medical school at the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine in Honolulu. He is a fourth-year resident and will complete his training in June 2024. Following graduation, he will start a sleep medicine fellowship in Portland, Oregon.

Through a partnership with University of Nebraska Medical Center and Columbus Psychiatry Clinic, Ngo will work alongside psychiatrist Dr. Venkata Kolli to perform diagnostic evaluations, psychotherapy and treatment, and help manage patients' medication.

Ngo enjoys getting to know his patients individually and building relationships with them. He also has a particular interest in sleep and the role of physical and social factors on people's mental health.

"I'm excited to be part of the clinic and learn from Dr. Kolli and the Columbus community," he said. "The opportunity to be challenged and exposed to a different way of thinking and practicing psychiatry excites me."

Ngo will see patients in the clinic during regular business hours Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays through the end of May.
