There are many different benefits to becoming a member. At the Columbus YMCA, members can enjoy the following:

  • Free Getting Started program.

  • FREE drop-in child watch (ages 6 weeks to 6 years old) while you work out.

  • More than 50 free fitness classes offered each week.

  • Free after-school program for area schools.

  • Swim lessons for all ages.

  • Access to a six-lane swimming pool.

  • Warm water pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room for adults.

  • Private family changing rooms.

  • New cardio and strength training equipment.

Plus, members can also enjoy full access to the Columbus Fieldhouse and all its amenities:

  • Jump Zone – The 8,000-square-foot Jump Zone has more than 30 trampolines, including a dodgeball area; an interactive video feature; a kids’ court for young, accompanied children; and a one-on-one competition area.

  • Gymnasiums – The state-of-the-art basketball gyms are a total of 16,300 square feet. There are now four full-sized courts or eight half courts. Volleyball nets are stored in the ceiling and can be set in place with the push of a button. The new courts also allow more room for seating.

  • Racquetball courts – There are two racquetball courts funded by Behlen Manufacturing in memory of Phil Raimondo. Participants can play racquetball, handball, squash and even wallyball on these two courts, as long as they wear protective eyewear at all times.

  • Turf field – The 100,000-square-foot turf field can be divided into four quadrants of 25,000 square feet, and is available for rentals. The far west end houses two additional batting cages that are retractable, and users can check out pitching machines.

  • Tennis/pickleball courts – This 14,000-square-foot area includes two full tennis courts running from north to south, or eight pickleball courts running from east to west. The space is divided in half by a retractable net.

  • Community room – This 660-square-foot fully equipped meeting room seats approximately 30 people. It is similar to the multipurpose room, which is located on the south side of the campus. Both rooms are available for rent.

  • House Sips – House Sips will be serving loaded teas, fruit smoothies, protein shakes, coffee, healthy snacks and grab-and-go items from its location inside the fieldhouse. The hours of operation are Tuesday through Friday, 7 a.m.-noon and 4-8 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday, noon-6 p.m.

  • Soft play – This feature is for our youngest members, and parental supervision is required. It includes a labyrinth of tunnels, tubes and slides.

  • Lu Wall – The Lu Wall is a video interactive reinforced wall. A variety of games are displayed on the wall, and participants throw balls to interact with the games. There are also a variety of educational and skill-leveled games featured as well.

  • Game room – This room houses five state-of-the-art gaming stations, Ping-Pong and foosball. It features two large-screen TVs and lounge seating, and is a great social space for all.

  • Golf simulators – There are three bays that allow participants to play multiple courses, plus a single bay that has additional games for people who don’t have an interest in golf. This space has the ability to host multiple players in each bay. Participants can check out clubs but are only allowed to use non-logoed balls.

  • Elevated track – The track features three lanes for running or walking, and is just short of a quarter of a mile. There is a fourth lane on the east end for sprint use only. The fieldhouse has plans to add cross-training equipment and other fitness pieces so users can get a full workout.

  • Mini golf/putting green – The nine-hole mini golf course is for all ages and features clubs and balls available for checkout. The putting green is for the more serious golfer and features six different holes. Members are permitted to use their own clubs and balls on the green.

  • HitTrax – This feature, typically found on college campuses, is a baseball/softball simulator that has pitching machines available and includes front toss, tee work and soft toss. Participants can play a full game and analyze their swing by reading the contact point of the ball to register hit placements. Pitching machines for both softball and baseball will be available for checkout.

The Columbus Fieldhouse is open Monday through Saturday from 5 a.m.-10 p.m., and Sunday from noon-7 p.m. Please note that youth are not allowed in the facility past 9 p.m.
