St. Francis & Nebraska Heart Host Heart Education Series Featuring Cardiologist Dr. Jeff King

Dr. Jeffrey King

CHI Health St. Francis, in collaboration with Nebraska Heart Institute, is hosting a heart-education session at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 25 in Conference Room 2/3 at the hospital. Local Cardiologist Dr. Jeffrey King will discuss “Coronary Artery Disease and Heart Failure: What does this mean? And, what do you need to know?”

Part of a new monthly series, this presentation is free and open to the community.

During the session, Dr. King will explore coronary artery disease (CAD)--the most common type of heart disease in the United States. For some people, the first sign of CAD is a heart attack. Over time, CAD can weaken the heart muscle. This may lead to heart failure, a serious condition where the heart can’t pump blood the way it should.

Dr. King is a cardiology specialist with more than 26 years of experience in cardiac implantable device procedures, heart conditions, and adult congenital heart conditions. Dr. King is board certified and a graduate of University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Medicine.
