Dr. Joseph Morris Joins UnityPoint Clinic

Joseph Morris, MD, has joined the team at UnityPoint Clinic® General Surgery and Gastroenterology and will continue surgery services for the Siouxland area.

"We are excited to have Dr. Morris’ expertise join our UnityPoint Clinic team,” says Brenda Larsen, VP of operations at UnityPoint Health – Sioux City. "He is well-known in the community and has provided excellent care for patients for years."

Dr. Morris has lived in Siouxland for more than 33 years providing a variety of surgical services including general, thoracic, cancer and vascular surgery. He has played a central role in the evolution of laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery in the area.

"I specialize in delivering comprehensive care to patients with complex health needs, particularly cancer patients," explains Dr. Morris. "My goal is to ensure my patients feel supported throughout their journey and leave my care feeling improved."

Dr. Morris received his medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine. He completed his residency at University of Nebraska Medical. He is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery.

Dr. Morris joins the general surgery team of Robert Cunningham, MD, Matthew Gawart, MD, Taylor King, PA-C, Sunu Philip, MD, FCS(SA) FRCSC and gastroenterologist Ben Pottebaum, DO.
