Mary Lanning Healthcare (MLH) Offering Neurology Services

A new service — Mary Lanning Healthcare Neurology — has opened its doors. 

Hastings native Maxwell Nyce, DO, is seeing patients in the MLH Medical Office Building on the Second Floor.  

Dr. Nyce attended Central Community College-Hastings and Hastings College, before receiving his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from A.T. Still University — Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri, in 2018. He completed his neurology residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria, Illinois, in 2022. 

Dr. Nyce has worked as a neurologist in Hastings since 2022. He specializes in a range of neurologic conditions including stroke, dementia, epilepsy, headache, dizziness, neuromuscular and movement disorders. 

“I’m happy to come over to Mary Lanning and start practicing here,” Dr. Nyce said.  

Dr. Nyce will be performing electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction stuides (NCS) to assist in diagnosing disorders of the peripheral nervous system. 

He is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
