Essentia Health-Fargo Welcomes Emergency Medicine Specialist Kathleen Rogan

Essentia Health-Fargo is excited to welcome Kathleen Rogan, an advanced practice registered nurse and certified nurse practitioner specializing in emergency medicine.

“I was drawn to Essentia due to the large population that the hospital serves along with its patient-oriented goals that allow the community to receive the best care possible,” said Rogan.

Rogan received her medical education from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks and is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

“I chose the emergency department due to the fast-paced, team-oriented environment,” explained Rogan. “I played collegiate hockey and suffered an injury that landed me in the emergency department. Seeing the teamwork and work ethic involved in caring for such a variety of patients, I knew I wanted to be a part of that one day. The team aspect of the emergency department feels at home to me after being on hockey teams my entire life.

“We are often meeting patients on their worst days, and I want them to know that I will be a calm presence and we will get through this difficult situation as a team. I want my patients to feel empowered about their treatment.”
