Adrian Tasa Receives 40 Under 40 Award

Adrian Tasa, an oncology nurse navigator for Columbus Community Hospital, recently received the 40 Under 40 Award from the Nebraska Organization of Nursing Leadership (NONL) and the Nebraska Nurses Association (NNA).

Every year in June, the NONL and NNA accept nominations for 40 Under 40 candidates. Qualified candidates must be under 40 years old and licensed as a registered nurse (RN) or licensed practical nurse (LPN) in Nebraska. Over the course of three months, the two associations’ review committee evaluates blinded nominations and looks for nurses representing the next generation of nursing leaders. The honorees are recognized in October at the NNA Annual Convention Awards Breakfast.

Tasa has worked at Columbus Community Hospital since August 2018. As an oncology nurse navigator, she helps educate and prepare cancer patients and their families for coping with the challenges that lie ahead.

“I am very proud of Adrian and her recognition as a 40 under 40 Award recipient,” said Keith Luedders, vice president of ancillary services for the hospital. “As an oncology nurse navigator, Adrian significantly impacts the care her patients receive, and I am thrilled to have her on our team.”

Earlier this year, the Metro Omaha Chapter of the Oncology Nursing Society nominated Tasa for the Mazie Arnswald Award to recognize her dedication to nursing.
