National Public Health Week
During each day of National Public Health Week, there is a focus on a particular public health topic. Wednesday, April 3rd will focus on Rural Health! This area is critical to our future success in creating the healthiest nation, and everyone can do their part to help.
SDSU Extension and SLM Consulting are coordinating a social media campaign to promote and build awareness around rural health and issues that affect South Dakota communities. We are reaching out to your organization because we know you are doing important work in rural communities to promote health and wellbeing.
Leading up to National Public Health Week:
We will send out sample social media posts that include facts about rural health in South Dakota for your organizations to share.
During National Public Health Week: We ask that each of your organizations use #ThisIsRuralHealthSD in posts that include photos of the work you are doing in rural communities.
On April 3, we plan to share your work, as highlighted through #ThisIsRuralHealthSD on our social media channels. We hope that you feel compelled to share another partners’ work as well.
