The Center for Neurosciences, Orthopaedics & Spine (CNOS) has announced the retirement of Thomas Jacobson, MD, and Robert Wisco, MD. Dr. Jacobson retired on September 3rd, 2020, and Dr. Wisco will retire on February 1st, 2021.
“Dr. Jacobson has a rich history at CNOS as part of the founding team of Doctors who merged to form CNOS as well as serving as a visionary pioneer for the Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Departments at CNOS,” says Suzi Gausman, Vice President of Community Engagement and Corporate Compliance at CNOS. “Dr. Jacobson is well known for being seen on any number of sidelines covering high school and college athletics, serving as a mentor to students of medicine at many levels, and passionately caring for thousands of patients he has served over the years.

Dr. Jacobson is a board-certified Orthopaedic Surgeon. He received his medical degree from the University of Iowa and practiced general orthopaedics with fellowship training in sports medicine. Dr. Jacobson has worked at CNOS from 1991 to 2020.
“Dr. Wisco has been an integral part of CNOS for close to 20 years and has provided high-quality clinical services to thousands of patients throughout his career,” says Nolan Lubarski, CEO at CNOS. “Please join me in extending our gratitude to Dr. Wisco for his contributions to CNOS.”
Dr. Wisco a board-certified Rheumatologist. Born in Dubuque, Iowa, Dr. Wisco went to the University of Iowa for medical school. Dr. Wisco has been treating rheumatology patients in the Siouxland area since October 1, 1995 and been a part of CNOS since May of 2001.
