Essentia Health Welcomes Dr. Archana RajenderOct 18, 2020 07:19PM ● By Med Magazine
Dr. Archana Rajender, who specializes in urology is now seeing patients at Essentia Health-32nd Avenue Clinic in Fargo.
Originally from Fargo, Dr. Rajender says, “there’s definitely a sense of pride when you decide to come home. It’s an even bigger sense of pride to be able to serve a community of people who I consider my own.” “My dad has been a gastroenterologist at Essentia for over 20 years and so this hospital has been a part of my life growing up. I’m so excited to return to this community and join Essentia in their mission to make a healthy difference in people’s lives.”
“Urology is a spectacular field, and contrary to popular belief, it is an incredibly diverse specialty in every aspect – we treat children, adults and geriatric patients, both men and women, and spend our days in the clinic as well as in surgery,” Dr. Rajender explains. “The best part of urology is the ability to make a difference in a patient’s quality of life.”
Dr. Rajender earned her medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine in Boston, Mass., completed her residency in urology at Boston Medical Center in Boston, Mass. and completed her fellowship in urology at the University of California Irvine Medical Center in Orange, Calif.
“As a patient, it can be overwhelming to navigate what’s happening with your body and your health. It’s my job as your physician to act as your translator and guide,” shares Dr. Rajender. “There is power in knowledge and understanding, and I hope my patients understand we are in this together with the same goals – better health, better life.”
