Telehealth specialty clinic Modern Day Health Care (MDHC) has opened a new clinic location at 125 Railroad Ave SE, Aberdeen, SD 57401. The physical location is staffed by Doctor of Physical Therapy, Mikala Simon, Physical Therapy Assistant Alora Weinrich and Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner Lindsay Peterson APRN, MSN, FNP-BC.

In addition, MDHC is thrilled to announce a new, unique, and much needed service to residents of the Aberdeen area, in-home clinic visits. If requested, a patient can ask to be visited by a highly experienced registered nurse who will perform hands on assessments, check vital signs and use the tools of telemedicine to connect with the patients chosen practitioner while at the patient’s home. The registered nurse will manage the telemedicine appointment and can also administer needed medications and collect routine labs including blood draws.

“We absolutely love being able to bring health care to our patients instead of requiring them to come to us” says Dr. Mikala Simon. “We fully believe and practice with the idea that our patients deserve only the best and that sometimes that means we need to meet them where they are when they need us most. Putting our patients needs first and making it easy and convenient for them to receive the care they need is an absolute focus of everything we do”.

In summary, through MDHC Aberdeen area patients now have 3 options to receive quality healthcare:
- A virtual clinic visit, where the patient stays home and connects with a health care professional via smart phone, laptop or tablet.

- A regular in person office visit

-An in-home clinic visit, where an RN assists with the virtual office visit from the comfort of the patient’s home Modern Day Health Care
