Modern Day Health Care (MDHC) is an advanced practice nurse owned and operated health care clinic that is working to close the gap in the rural health care landscape by using modern technology and telemedicine to offer acute, primary and specialty care services. Founded in April of 2018, MDHC is the first 100% telemedicine specialty clinic in the region and they now cover 4 states.

Amidst the current national pandemic, it is not surprising, that the demand for experienced telehealth providers is growing. Modern Day Health Care continues to add highly experienced, skilled and respected team members to answer the challenge. Modern Day Health Care (MDHC) has announced the addition of Nurse Practitioner Angela “Angie” Gaikowski of Sisseton South Dakota. In addition, MDHC has once again expanded their coverage area to include the state of Minnesota and can now provide care to any Minnesota resident in addition to residents of SD, IA, and CO.

Angie Gaikowski CNP specializes in family medicine, treating all members of the family from newborn to geriatric patients. She has a special interest in pediatrics and mental health. She likes to get to know the whole family and she is experienced at treating a variety of illnesses and injuries. “Being able to virtually meet with my patients during these trying times is a great asset,” said Gaikowski. “It is important to keep patients connected to their health care providers. Other clinics offer acute care through telemedicine, MDHC’s approach goes beyond that. I can establish a long-term relationship with my patients.” Angie focuses on preventing, diagnosing, and treating common conditions in patients through all life stages. Angie enjoys spending time with her family at the lake, recreating traditional recipes in a healthier way and reading.
