South Dakota Takes Vaccination Seriously

New research suggests that South Dakota residents take vaccination seriously - especially for adults. South Dakota ranks second in the nation in the share of adults 60 and over with Zoster vaccination and 9th in the nation of adults vaccinated against tetanus. The numbers aren’t bad for children either. 

In order to find out which states vaccinate most, WalletHub analyzed the 50 states and the District of Columbia across 18 key metrics, ranging from share of vaccinated children to share of people without health insurance to presence of reported measles outbreaks.
