MercyOne Siouxland Medical, MercyOne Primghar Medical Center, Hawarden Healthcare Honored for Diabetes Education Work

The American Diabetes Association (ADA) announced the recognition of Mercy One Siouxland Medical Center, MercyOne Primghar Medical Center and Hawarden Regional Healthcare for their work to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all patients affected by diabetes, through the Education Recognition Program (ERP). 

The ADA's Education Recognition Certificate assures that educational services meet the National Standards for Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support and that through the ERP program, a staff of knowledgeable health professionals at the facility provide patients with comprehensive information about diabetes management. 

Linda Cann, MSEd, the ADA's senior vice president of professional services, said, "We applaud MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center, MercyOne Primghar Medical Center and Hawarden Regional Healthcare for their commitment to providing high quality, evidence based education and support for people with diabetes."
