Pioneer Memorial Hospital & Health Services Presents Several Awards During Employee Appreciation Luncheon

The 2019 Employee Appreciation Luncheon was held on Wednesday, May 15th 2019.   The following individuals were recognized with Employee Service Awards for their longevity within the organization.  

    40 Years: JoAnn Ebbesen, Lori Hisel, Diane Wirth

    20 Years:   Joddie Sherard, Teresa Weier

    15 Years:   Nancy Wrigg

    10 Years: Jenn Eli, Holly Jensen, Michelle Paulson, Krista Schaeffer, Elizabeth Wurtz

      5 Years: Mary Jo Strehlo, Katherine Buckneberg, Mary Clayton, Patti Roth, Clara Thompson, Kyle Stockland

During the Employee Appreciation Luncheon, the award for Employee of the Year and Employee Volunteer of the Year were given out.  The Employee of the Year is voted on by staff and is chosen from all Employee of the Month recipients from May 2018- April 2019.

The 2019 Employee of the Year award was presented to Teresa Weier.  Teresa began employment at Pioneer Memorial in 1999 as an Administrative Assistant / Pharmacy Tech.  She is responsible for handling administrative duties, including purchasing supplies and filing department supply orders.  Teresa has been a great coworker over the years, and has been nominated as employee of the month 3 times during her employment at Pioneer Memorial.  Friendly, kind, hardworking and a great attitude are all attributes that describe Teresa! She lives in Viborg with her husband Gale; and they have 3 children – Craig, Erin, and Kevin; and 8 grandchildren.  She is a very valuable employee and very dedicated to Pioneer Memorial.

Other employees who were nominated for this award this past year were: Danielle Dornbusch, Charity Pierce, Kristion Luttrell, Jerry Berg, Teresa Weier, Patty Timmermans, Lauren Hill, Rita Westergaard, Kim Limoges, Renae Hansen, Holly Jensen, and Amanda Thoms.

The 2019 Employee Volunteer of the Year award went to Mike Tirrel. Mike has worked in the Maintenance Department at Pioneer Memorial since 1990, and has been involved in numerous volunteer activities, and helps with all the events for the organization over the years.  Congratulations Mike on receiving this well-deserved award and thank you for serving as an example to us all with your willingness to volunteer and your spirit of generosity.
