CNOS to open Orthopaedic Urgent Care Center

Siouxland residents will soon have a new option for receiving urgent orthopaedic care

services from CNOS, PC in Dakota Dunes.

As of June 1, the clinic will offer orthopaedic exams and treatment without appointment five days a week at the group’s Dakota Dunes location.  The urgent care clinic will be staffed by a board-certified physician and physician assistant, as well as technicians to handle imaging, casts and splints. CEO Mike Hurlburt says going straight to an orthopaedic urgent care can eliminate the time and expense of an emergency room visit.

“Emergency room visits often lead to a sequence of referrals to reach specialized care”, says Hurlburt. “By opening our urgent care clinic, we believe we are streamlining the process by making the patient’s first point of contact an orthopaedic specialist.”

The urgent care clinic is located at 575 Sioux Point Road in Dakota Dunes and is open weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Appointments are not necessary, but patients can feel free ask questions or call ahead at (605) 217-2667.

CNOS, PC, founded in 1998, is an innovative clinic offering a team of leading specialists in the areas of the brain, bones, joints, muscles and nerves.  In addition to the Dakota Dunes clinic, CNOS has three other locations in Sioux City’s Northside, Morningside and Moville, IA.
