Richards Selected Regional Health Network Chief Operating Officer

Kyle Richards, MPA, LNHA, CPHQ, is the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Regional Health Network. Richards comes to Regional Health from the Waverly Health Center in Waverly, Iowa, where he served as CEO since August 2011. He also has many years of work experience with Sanford Health.

Richards is a progressive and strategic-oriented senior health care executive with more than 15 years leadership experience. He has a diverse background leading all aspects of hospital, clinic, and long-term care operations; strategic planning; quality improvement; and business development in both systems and independent facilities. He is also a certified Lean Healthcare facilitator.

Regional Health Network, based in Rapid City, S.D., provides leadership, strategic guidance and management direction for its hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities and home medical equipment stores serving South Dakota, Wyoming and Nebraska. It owns the following South Dakota facilities:  Lead-Deadwood Regional Hospital in Deadwood, Spearfish Regional Hospital in Spearfish, Sturgis Regional Hospital and Sturgis Regional Senior Care in Sturgis, Fairmont Grand Regional Senior Care in Rapid City, and Golden Ridge Regional Senior Care in Lead. Regional Health Network operates, under operating leases, several facilities in Custer, S.D., and manages hospitals and nursing homes in Philip, S.D., and Sundance and Newcastle, Wyo.


Richards replaces Glenn Bryant who recently retired after 20 years of service with Regional Health.
