Sanford Health  opened a new clinic in Sioux Falls in January. The newest family medicine and pediatric facility is located at the corner of 69th Street and Louise Avenue in Sioux Falls.

The 24,000-square-foot building has 36 exam rooms where four pediatricians and one family medicine provider will practice. The physicians are established in Sioux Falls and are excited to bring their expertise to a new location in Sioux Falls.

“The building seamlessly combines a sophisticated space for adults with a kid-friendly atmosphere,” said Candice Nelson, MD, pediatrician with Sanford Children’s. “From ‘I-Spy’ graphics in the exam rooms to color-coordinated signs pointing patients in the right direction, Sanford’s newest clinic was tailor-made for families.”

The Sanford clinic also features a community room that can be used for educational opportunities for patients, such as parenting classes.

“This facility was truly designed around the patient experience,” said David Ellerbusch, MD, Sanford Clinic family medicine physician. “For example, the clinic offers a tiered registration desk to grant our patients greater privacy while checking in for their appointments.”

Additionally, its design encourages more collaboration between staff members. Instead of retreating to a traditional office, providers will touch down in a “bullpen” to maximize interaction and encourage idea flow. The new clinic will also house the Sanford Children’s Residency Clinic with 20 physicians and utilize a behavioral health provider and a health coach to collaborate on certain cases.

Same Day appointments for pediatrics and family medicine will be available at the new clinic along with easy online access to medical records. Beginning Jan. 6, patients and families can call (605) 312-8000 to make an appointment at the new location.
