2018 Stroke Conference
Mercy Medical Center will be sponsoring the 2018 Stroke Conference on Wednesday, May 16. The conference will be held at Crave at 1100 Larsen Park Road from 7am to 4pm.
Dr. William Andrews, MD from CNOS Neurology and Mercy's Stroke Program Director, will be a key presenter at the conference and will address Acute Ischemic Stroke: Diagnosis and Management.
Marty Walsh, Mercy Physical Therapist, will discuss Physical Therapy Care in the Continuum of Stroke Recovery.
Shelly Kitrell and Robyn Mellang, Mercy Occupational Therapists, will present on Occupational Therapy for Stroke Rehabilitation.
John Jorgensen, Iowa Donor Network Coordinator, will address Donation 101: It Starts with You.
Katie Bergen, Director of Quality and System Improvement with the American Heart Association, will speak on Focus of Quality.
Dr. Andrew Gard, Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery with the University of Nebraska Medical Center, will present on Acute Stroke Intervention and Cerebral Aneurysm Treatment. Continuing education credit will be awarded for healthcare professionals.
