LifeScape Awarded Safety Grant

LifeScape is pleased to announce it was awarded a $4,000 safety grant from Risk Assessment Services, Inc, or RAS, today. “As safety at our campuses continues to be our highest priority, this grant will help us improve our personal protective equipment, specifically for our staff who support children in our Intermediate Care Facility,” explains Director of the Residential Intermediate Care Facility, Katie Skroch.

LifeScape continues to be committed to developing adaptive technologies that will expand horizons for children with complex needs. As part of that commitment, LifeScape has ventured into ensuring workplace safety for our staff and those we support, “By creating and adapting protective equipment, we are able to provide an even safer environment for the entire LifeScape community,” says Skroch.

The population of children supported at LifeScape includes many school-aged children with severe behavioral disorders. Our team of experts understand the challenges that families of children with physical and developmental disabilities face. Children at LifeScape are served by an interdisciplinary team of experts including certified special education teachers, school psychologists, occupational, physical, speech and music therapists, behavioral therapists/analysts, nurses, and direct care staff. All team members have close contact with our students. Our safety initiative is not just about meeting the immediate needs of our workforce. It's about setting a new standard in the healthcare and community support sectors for safety and well-being.
