Frewing Earns Professional Leadership Award

The Lincoln-based Nebraska Safety Council is an agency that supports a wide range of organizations throughout the state and surrounding areas. Its mission is to provide education and leadership that empowers people to be safe and healthy. Every year, the council recognizes professionals for their leadership, wellness and safety efforts.

Danielle Frewing, director of Occupational Health Services (OHS), was recently recognized for her role in workplace safety. Frewing will receive the Professional Leadership Award during the 45th Annual Nebraska Safety Council Conference later this month.

According to John Lefler, Jr., the Nebraska Safety Council’s executive director, this award recognizes high-performing, well-established safety and wellness leaders who have demonstrated a significant impact on their company, have great leadership skills, participate in community-related safety and wellness efforts beyond their scope of work.

“Danielle is a superstar,” said Amy Blaser, vice president for physician relations and business development at Columbus Community Hospital. “She provides outstanding leadership both here at our hospital and in our community. When Danielle sets her mind on accomplishing something, she achieves it.”

OHS partners with more than 1,300 companies, offering programs and services that help the companies care for their employees’ health and wellness. To learn more about its services, visit columbushosp.org.
