The Essentia Health-Mid Dakota Bismarck Gateway Clinic is excited to welcome Brandi Clark, an advanced practice registered nurse and certified nurse practitioner specializing in dermatology.

“Through my education and work experience, I have come to believe that a holistic approach in health care is so important for the well-being of patients,” explained Clark, who joined the Gateway Clinic in 2018 as a registered nurse. “Part of Essentia’s belief statement says, ‘We believe the highest quality health care requires a regard for both the soul and science of healing.’ Caring for the whole person and meeting someone where they are allows me to provide patients with a better experience and allows me to have a more fulfilling career.”

Clark received her medical education from Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana, and is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

“Dermatology has always been an appealing specialty to me,” said Clark. “The skin is the first thing a person notices when you see other people. The condition of a person’s skin, hair and nails can be indicative of health or underlying illness. The condition of a person’s skin can also deeply affect their emotional well-being. Caring for the dermatological needs of patients and providing a pathway for improvement of their skin conditions makes a positive impact on their overall well-being.”
