Essentia Health-Fargo Welcomes Brittney Smith, Who Specializes In Hospitalist Services

Essentia Health-Fargo is proud to welcome Brittney Smith, an advanced practice registered nurse and certified nurse practitioner specializing in hospitalist services.

“Essentia Health has a unique footprint in Fargo and in this region, especially when it comes to welcoming new providers to practice,” said Smith. “As a nurse practitioner, I wanted to be part of a health care team that is close with one another, supports each other and believes in the work they are doing to make a healthy difference for the communities they serve.”

Smith received her medical education from the University of North Dakota. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

“I have worked in a variety of settings throughout my nursing career and acute care has always been my passion,” explained Smith. “I love the pace, the challenges it brings and the environment which pushes you to always be learning.

“For most, being in the hospital is scary and if I can do anything to help my patients ease some of the feelings related to those unknowns, then I take pride in being able to do that.”
