Camp Bravo, The All-Abilities Performing Arts Camp Is BACK!

The LifeScape Center for the Arts and Dakota Players are excited to announce the return of Camp Bravo. After three years of silence, due to the COVID pandemic, the performing arts camp for kids of all-abilities is back.

Camp Bravo allows performers to create a full-scale stage performance, learn from theatre professionals, participate in breakout sessions where there are games, crafts, designing, dancing and fun! There will even be a runway show to show off the costumes.

After being unable to bring children of all-abilities together for this wonderful experience, LifeScape Center for the Arts Director, Jamie Richardson can’t wait to see the smiles of pure joy the camp brings, “Camp Bravo has been such a meaningful experience in the lives of so many over the years, whether they had a disability or not! We could not wait to bring camp back to these young performers and give an experience that everyone can have fun with!” Camp Bravo culminates with a performance of “Space School Musical”, a fun and upbeat show with lots of great music and exciting characters. This year, we are pleased to partner with Augustana University where camp will be held at the Edith Mortensen Theater from June 4th - 9th.

Registration is underway and will be limited in order to ensure the camper to counselor ratio is 1:2. Camp Bravo is designed for kids ages 8 - 21. Registration is $400. Visit https://www.lifescapesd.org/events/camp-bravo-registration to sign up before space runs out. Funding has been made possible through the South Dakota Arts Council.
