Regional Health Heart and Vascular Institute received the ACTION Registry Platinum Performance Achievement Award. The award recognizes Regional Health’s teamwork and commitment to delivering the highest quality in cardiovascular care. Regional Health is one of only 203 hospitals in the nation to receive this honor.
To receive the ACTION Registry Platinum Performance Achievement Award, Regional Health has demonstrated, sustained and achieved specific performance measures aligned with the ACTION Registry for eight consecutive quarters. This will be Regional Health’s sixth year in a row receiving this award.
“As a Platinum Performance Achievement Award recipient, Regional Health has shown it is a leader in implementing standards of care and protocols for its patients,” said Deepak L. Bhatt, MD, MPH, FACC, Chair, ACTION Registry; Executive Director of Interventional Cardiovascular Programs, Brigham and Women’s Hospital Heart and Vascular Center; and Professor of Medicine, Harvard Medical School. “By meeting the requirements set forth in the registry and establishing a culture of providing guideline-recommended therapy, Regional Health is saving lives and improving outcomes of heart attack patients.”
The Center for Disease Control estimates that over 700,000 Americans suffer a heart attack each year. A heart attack occurs when a blood clot in a coronary artery partially or completely blocks blood flow to the heart muscle.
“We are honored to receive the ACTION Registry Platinum Performance Achievement Award. Regional Health is honored to be the region’s heart health partner. Our physicians and caregivers strive every day to deliver the very best care. This award proves that we’re leading the way in cardiac care,” said Paulette Davidson, Chief Operating Officer & President of Regional Health Rapid City Hospital.
