The Chartis Center for Rural Health evaluates hospitals nationwide and presented the top 100 facilities that met the criteria for 2018. The Avera facilities include:
Avera Hand County Memorial Hospital, Miller, S.D.
Milbank Area Hospital Avera, Milbank, S.D.
Avera Holy Family Hospital, Estherville, Iowa
Floyd Valley Healthcare – Avera, Le Mars, Iowa
Avera St. Anthony’s Hospital, O’Neill, Neb.
“While gratifying, we realize this honor only remains valid as we continue our daily commitment to providing the best care to communities across our region,” said Curt Hohman, Avera Senior Vice President for Managed Facilities. “Gaining this recognition of our efforts is reassuring, but it reminds us that we must continue to innovate and improve, on behalf of our patients and their families. It underlines the effective diligence of the many teams that make up our critical access hospitals across the Avera footprint.”
The facilities that made the list scored in the top 100 of Critical Access Hospitals on iVantage Health Analytics’ Hospital Strength INDEX®.
