The 12th annual Midwest Communications Radiothon for Kids presented by Hot Stuff Pizza raised more than $300,000 for Children’s Miracle Network and Sanford Children’s Hospital.

The 24-hour radiothon on 92.5 KRWB, Q95.7, 101.9 KELO-FM and 103.7 KRRO radio stations featured a first-of-its-kind challenge from an anonymous donor. The donor challenged the community to rally and surpass the previous year’s amount by $25,000, and reaching that goal would bring a $50,000 donation. Listeners, businesses and other local supporters responded to exceed that goal. In the end, the event raised $301,535.

Sanford Children’s Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, joined the Children’s Miracle Network team in 1986. As a Children’s Miracle Network hospital, Sanford Children’s Hospital stands dedicated to the idea that every child is unique, every diagnosis is different and every situation is special.
